Euronext Brussels moves

Euronext Brussels is to relocate from its traditional home in the heart of the city alongside the Grand’Place to the ‘Marquis’ building. This building is located between the St.-Michel & Ste.-Gudule Cathedral, and Brussels Central station. It is characterised by an ecclesiastical style in terms of architecture.

‘Le Marquis’ extends to some 32,000 m² spread over a ground floor and eight upper floors, and was totally renovated between 2007 and 2009. It is certified BREEAM ‘Good’ within the ‘major refurbishment’ category. With this latest transaction and two others, the AEW-owned building is now 93% occupied. Other major tenants include EDF-Luminus, BPost Bank and PP Retail.

BNP Paribas Real Estate acted for the Euronext Brussels in this latest transaction, which involves a 15 year fixed term lease. AEW was advised by Baker & McKenzie.
